Built in the early 1900s, this historic building formerly housed the fort's Post Exchange. It was an important part of Fort William H Seward (now an historical landmark), the then regimental headquarters for all of Alaska. The fort was deactivated in 1946 and bought by a group of veterans.
The original building included a soda fountain, gymnasium, movie house, library, and a 2 lane bowling alley. It has been extensively remodeled during the 1990.
